Sycophant Sunday

Before I begin, let me specify (as if there were any doubt!) that the ‘sycophant’ mentioned is my workaholic-alter ego. 🙂 So here’s my first accountability post of what I accomplished last week. (Sunday is the first day of my work-week.)

1. I added a Twitter button to my blog, so that people can follow me easily (if they want to. 😉 )

2. Participated in Illustration Friday.

3. Read a ton of articles from Escape from Illustration Island. I had been putting this off long enough.

4. I made my own Twitter button because I didn’t like the idea of having someone else’s artwork on my blog. So I made and uploaded my own Twitter version of moi. When I saw it today, I felt I looked like an old biddy in it – a blue old NON-VECTOR biddy (LOL) so I reverted it back to the old one until I get around to making a newer, younger, cuter, VECTOR version of the blue-bird me.

5. I started work on a new illo –  Fishing – and  just finished it, before I remembered I was supposed to post this today. So here you go – two-in-one post. (Don’t keep waiting for this tremendous feat – it may never happen again! ;))

The illo got carried forward to this week because I realised that:

a- I am not on any deadline, so I can actually take my time and perfect my technique. (a ‘duh’ moment, if any!)

b- Last week was just plain crazy what with my ds’s concert which turned out to be a singing competition (I found this out super late!) – which he won btw, and which was followed by a victory party for him over the weekend.

Its been mad, but looking bad – I don’t think I did too badly.

Ok – enough talk. Here’s the illo.

Almost forgot. Song in my head is again: A Whole New World. My ds sings it beautifully. Can’t get his voice out of my head.

Have a Gre@t-ive week, everyone!

One Response to Sycophant Sunday

  1. With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement?

My website has a lot of unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my permission. Do you know any ways to help reduce content from being ripped off? I’d certainly appreciate it.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your opinion - good or bad.
